Adam Antoszek-Rallo,
2001 Award Winner
"When I graduated in 2002, I made
a deal with myself — if I was able to pay off
my student loans, I would go live and volunteer in the
third world (yes, I thought “if” and not
“when”). I finished my degree with an internship,
which quickly turned into a wonderful full-time job
with Paul Sych at Faith. With this new income, coupled
with my scholarship monies and some disciplined saving,
I laid my massive student loan to rest that summer,
much to the surprise of myself. Much to the surprise
of others, I left Faith that September to go live in
the tiny village of Bawjiase, on the edge of the rainforest
in Ghana, West Africa..."

Kathryn Grant,
2001 Award Winner
"It’s funny how much strangers
can influence our lives without ever knowing. In 2001,
a group of people who didn’t know me awarded me
an RGD Scholarship. By doing so, they encouraged me
to believe in myself and my work as a graphic designer.
So far, my career path has been cobbled with doubt,
and I took a few detours along the way. After working
for over a year as a production artist, my heart wasn’t
in the right place, so I left everything to live in
Switzerland for eight months."

Starla Wick,
2001 Award Winner
"It’s been an interesting
trip! I still sit back and wonder how a girl with my
education and design experience ended up working in
Insurance. "
